Giving Tuesday 2022
This Giving Tuesday, Atira is giving the spotlight to our Pregnancy Outreach Program. The Pregnancy Outreach team works alongside health and social service providers to support women accessing services that lead to healthy birth outcomes and provide a safe and comfortable pregnancy for women facing homelessness, fleeing violence or experiencing other barriers with accessing medical services. The program supports women in Surrey and the surrounding areas that require emotional support, advocacy, and material donations such as winter jackets or baby clothes, childcare support, meals, referrals and other resources within the community.
Women need your support now more than ever due to the ongoing challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, rising job and food insecurity, and lack of affordable housing and accessible transportation. Every dollar you donate goes towards supporting these women during their prenatal, pregnancy and postnatal periods.
$50 can help us provide: • 24 pack of formula or • 2 bottles of prenatal vitamins
$100 can help us provide: • 5 packages of 84-pack newborn diapers
$250 can help us provide: • A warm jacket and blanket for 3 women
$500 can help us provide: • 4 full tanks of fuel for the Pregnancy Outreach Van to accompany women to their appointments, referrals and check-ups
