ADVANCING HEALTH-CARE PRACTICE

4.4     Exercises

When women do decide to access a range of services, they may face barriers to getting the support they need. The following exercise is based on real experiences that women have had in BC, mostly in the Lower Mainland. These stories are composites, so no one woman experienced all of these barriers. However, the barriers are real. There are very few positive experiences in these stories. We will get to those in the next module.

There are two stories. Feel free to take a break between stories.
