2.4 Judy's Story
He said he would support any decision I made, but when I decided to keep the baby, he started to push me to have an abortion. He pushed gently at first, trying to get me to "decide" to have an abortion. Then he made an appointment at the abortion clinic for me "just in case" I changed my mind, because it takes two week to get in. When I refused to go, he started to push harder. He threatened to leave me if I didn't have an abortion, I would never find another guy who would want me if I was single with a kid, stretch marks, fat. He even got his parents involved to pressure me to have an abortion. I felt like I spent 7 months trying to protect this child from him.
When I went into hospital to give birth, the nurses thought he was the biggest sweetheart because he never left my side, and was a big charmer to them. When the baby was born, he completely changed his attitude. Suddenly, it was HIS baby, and he couldn't wait to get home with him. He said he loved himEis son. I thought at first that things might change, now that he saw what an amazing little guy we had. I didn't want to split up my family.
