2.2 Purpose
The purpose of this module is threefold; to understand the dynamics of abuse from women’s experience; provide opportunities for health care providers to gain a deeper understanding of how living in an abusive relationship can impact women’s health and health care; and to assist practitioners to analyze how the health care system can cause further trauma and victimization through routine practices.
