1.2 Purpose
The purpose of this module is twofold; to understand the dynamics of abuse using a case example from nursing; and provide opportunities for health care providers to gain a deeper understanding of how abusive work relationships affect nurses' practice, decision making, and health. This module will provide a foundation for understanding how the dynamics of abuse affect the lives of both colleagues and patients which will be examined in subsequent modules.
